SFS Conducts Library tour for one of Mobile Library Services project targeted schools
Somali Family Services (SFS) has been implementing a project titled Mobile Library Services in close collaboration with Ministry of Education, Puntland. The overall objective of the project is to promote reading skills and reading culture amongst students enrolled in 16 schools in Garowe district in Nugaal region.
On Thursday, November 27, 2014, SFS Education and Skills Development Institute has organized and conducted library tour for one of the project targeted schools-Dawaad International. The students were transported from their respective school by Mobile Library Mini-van.
During the PLRC tour, students were shown to Cisco Networking Academy-IT solutions courses, Radio Sahan production & Studio and introduced to different cadres of SFS staff who gave a word of encouragement and emphasized the importance of hard work in their day-day school activities.
The students were so excited about the tour and reading the books under different setting than their daily classroom. They promised to be connected and make use of Puntland Library and Resource Center (PLRC)
