Puntland Democratic Governance Program (PDGP)
This initiative aimed to strengthen the capacity of Puntland’s government institutions, improve transparency, and promote public participation in governance. The project provided training for civil servants, facilitated town halls, and developed accountability mechanisms to enhance good governance practices.
Strengthening Civil Society and Public Accountability in Somalia
This project focused on empowering civil society organizations (CSOs) to act as watchdogs in governance, ensuring that public officials were accountable to citizens. It supported local advocacy groups, provided legal education on governance, and trained CSO leaders on policy engagement.
Voter Education and Electoral Participation Initiative
Designed to increase voter awareness and engagement, this project educated communities on the electoral process, voter rights, and democratic principles. Public outreach campaigns, media programs, and community forums were used to encourage informed voting.
Anti-Corruption and Transparency Advocacy Program
This initiative aimed to combat corruption within public institutions by promoting ethical leadership, government accountability, and transparent financial management. It provided training for government officials and supported the development of anti-corruption frameworks.
Community Dialogues on Governance and Civic Rights
Through grassroots forums and community-based discussions, this project fostered civic engagement by creating safe spaces for citizens to interact with local leaders. Topics included governance reforms, human rights, and the role of youth and women in decision-making.
