Radio Sahan: Strengthening Civic Engagement and Independent Media

Established in 2013, Radio Sahan serves as a platform for public dialogue, government accountability, and civic awareness. It provides educational programs on governance, peacebuilding, and social justice, amplifying the voices of marginalized groups, including women and youth.

Maternal and Child Health Education Initiative

This program worked to reduce maternal and infant mortality rates by providing education on prenatal care, child vaccination, nutrition, and family planning. Community-based healthcare workers were trained to offer basic maternal and child health services in remote and underserved areas.

Supporting Livelihoods in Puntland Through Financial Empowerment

Micro-Credit and Small Business Development for Women and Youth

This project provided micro-loans and business training to help women, youth, and internally displaced persons (IDPs) start and sustain small businesses. Participants received training in financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and income-generating activities to promote economic independence and reduce poverty.

Assisted over 100 women, youth, and IDPs with micro-credit loans.
Conducted business literacy and entrepreneurship skills training.
Contributed to long-term efforts to develop Puntland’s financial infrastructure.
