SFS strengthens inclusive and accountable governance by promoting citizen participation, youth engagement, and women’s leadership in decision-making processes. Programmes support communities to actively engage with local authorities through civic education, dialogue platforms, and participatory tools such as community scorecards and social audits.

SFS also builds the capacity of local governments to improve service delivery, transparency, and public financial management.
