Executive Director
Abdurashid Mohamed Ali is a Somali development and humanitarian leader with more than 25 years of experience in inclusive governance, education and skills development, youth empowerment, peacebuilding, humanitarian action, and community development. With an academic background in Managerial Accounting and Political Science, he combines financial and institutional management expertise with a deep understanding of governance and development.
He is the Founder and Executive Director of Somali Family Services (SFS), a national civil society organization established in 2003. Under his leadership, SFS has mobilized and managed more than US$15 million and delivered over 60 projects, reaching more than 250,000 people across Somalia in partnership with UN agencies, governments, international development partners, and civil society organizations. His work focuses on strengthening locally led institutions and expanding opportunities for women, young people, children, and vulnerable communities.
