Child Protection & Safeguarding
No child should face violence, exploitation, or neglect alone.
Our Child Protection program operates one of the most extensive community-based safeguarding networks in Somalia. We work with families, communities, local authorities, and national institutions to prevent and respond to child abuse, exploitation, and neglect.

- Community-based Child Protection Committees (CPCs) in 40+ communities
- Case management and psychosocial support for survivors
- Child-friendly spaces in displacement and emergency settings

Education & Learning for All
Every child and youth deserves access to quality education.
SFS’s education programs address Somalia’s deep educational gaps through formal schooling support, accelerated learning for out-of-school children, adult literacy, and vocational training — with a special focus on girls and marginalized groups.

Inclusive Governance & Social Accountability
Empowered citizens, accountable institutions, better services.
We build the bridge between Somali citizens and their institutions through civic education, participatory governance, social accountability tools, and strengthening of local governance structures. Informed communities drive demand for better services.

Somalia’s recurring shocks — drought, conflict, displacement — devastate household economies. SFS equips vulnerable families with the skills, assets, and financial tools needed to build lasting economic stability and withstand future crises.

Building bridges across communities divided by conflict.
Somalia’s path to peace runs through its communities. SFS facilitates dialogue, reconciliation, and trust-building across clan, gender, and regional lines — creating the social fabric that holds sustainable peace together.
