Somali Family Services (SFS), in partnership with Diakonia, has successfully concluded a 5-day customized training on human rights and civic education for women, youth, and community representatives in Eyl District.
The training was officially opened on day one by Eyl District Mayor Mr. Faysal Khaliif and his Deputy, together with SFS Deputy Executive Director Mr. Abdikadir Nour. Sessions covered human rights, women’s rights, freedom of expression, education, and community participation.
A total of 85 participants, representing various segments of the community, took part in the training.
The training aimed to raise community knowledge and awareness helping participants understand their rights and responsibilities, and empowering them to play an active role in community development, education, and human rights protection.
