On 13 October 2026, Somali Family Services (SFS), in collaboration with the Dhobley District Flood Prevention Committee, ISA-WG Dhobley, and Youth Caucuses, conducted a flood risk awareness and preparedness campaign at Hodaan IDP Site in Dhobley, which is home to 118 households.
The campaign aimed to raise awareness among internally displaced persons (IDPs) about flood risks and promote household preparedness, early warning systems, community cooperation, and the protection of vulnerable groups.
Through this initiative, SFS and its partners strengthened community awareness and encouraged collective action to reduce flood-related risks and enhance the safety and resilience of displaced communities.
